The Huddersfield Giants have signed Melbourne Storm forward Ryan Hinchcliffe on a three-year deal, starting from 2016.
The former Canberra player joined the Melbourne Storm for the 2009 season, in which he has gone on to appear over 150 times for Craig Bellamy's side.
The 30-year old, who can play Hooker, Second Row, Lock and Centre, says he's 'excited' to join the Huddersfield Giants in 2016. "I’m excited to join Huddersfield and thankful for the opportunity to extend my career, my priority though remains playing well for Melbourne Storm and working hard to try and achieve the ultimate success with my teammates," Hinchliffe told the Melbourne Storm official website.
"Huddersfield made their interest known quite some time back and I’ve had a few chats with coach Paul Anderson about the team and what he’s looking for," said Hinchliffe.
"They’ve been close to the top for a few years and I hope that I can help them build on that. The reality is though it’s a big move for me and the family to a new culture and we hope we can repay Huddersfield’s faith in us."
LeagueExpress have also said that Huddersfield forward Chris Bailey is set to retire at the end of the current season, however the Giants are yet to confirm this.
