Can the Bradford Bulls defeat the Huddersfield Giants? Only one way to find out...by tomorrow's game. Couldn't think of anything funny to put here. Sorry.
Last place Bradford face 9th place Huddersfield, who have only won 1 in four games. Bradford have won 2 games, but their 6 point reduction keeps them at the bottom of the table. Huddersfield will look to win this game after their intense draw against Leeds Rhinos in Round 4, which ended 12-12 after neither side could find that needed drop goal.
This game last year saw the Bulls embarrass the Giants, beating them 58-6, so will Giants want revenge?
Ones to look out for
Joe Wardle- Wardle was a stand-out player for Giants in their Round 4 clash against the Rhinos and was unlucky not to have a few tries to his name. Although Giants' other centre is England's Leroy Cudjoe, I thought I'd give Wardle some recognition. He scored a total of 15 tries last season for the Giants and made 10 try assists. If I was Bradford, I'd keep my eye on this player. However, Wardle has the made (or not made) the most missed tackles for Huddersfield this year, so will he be targeted by the Bulls when attacking in tomorrow's fixture?
Danny Brough- It would be silly if I didn't mention this player, wouldn't it? Super League's 2013 Man of Steel is always a player for the opposition to keep a look out for. What makes Brough an incredible player is that he is so unpredictable. One minute he could be looking to kick, the next he's away and scoring under the sticks from a 60m dash. He's unbelievable at creating something from nothing and this is one of his strengths. He's very talented in all attacking areas, from the long pass, short pass, attacking kicks and anything else you can name. Bulls, keep an eye out for Brough.
Adrian Purtell- Again, some may argue that this guy doesn't get the recognition he deserves, but he has been good for the Bulls this year. Purtell played over in the NRL before joining the Bulls and has his fair share of experience. He appeared for Canberra Raiders and Penrith Panthers and scored a total 45 tries in the NRL. In the Super League this year, he's already scored 3 tries and made a whopping 426 metres with the ball. Not bad for a centre. He's made 9 tackle busts and likes to run with the ball. Giants need to keep this guy under their control in tomorrow's fixture.
Clash of the game
Brett Kearney vs Scott Grix- Both very talented Fullbacks who have great involvement in their teams. Brett Kearney has been rather quiet so far this season, with only 1 try to his name and he has made 15 missed tackles. However, I expect this to change soon and Kearney to play as he was last year, which saw him score 15 tries and have a massive 64 tackle busts to his name, the second most in Bulls' 2013 season. Scott Grix has been constantly good for his side this year. He's only scored 1 try so far this year, but has 15 tackle busts and 346 metres so far. I saw him against Wigan and he had a decent performance, in which his side beat the Warriors. This will be one good clash to watch for the fans attending the game.
Score prediction- Bradford Bulls 12-30 Huddersfield Giants.
