The BIG question: Can the Wigan Warriors, who have won 1 of their 2 2014 Super League matches, beat the Castleford Tigers who are unbeaten so far this season, with wins against Bradford, Catalan and Hull KR?
The game is going to be fast, energetic and a lot of skill and ability will be on show. Being a Wigan fan, I'm gutted I won't be there, but I do know that the game is going to be a real tester for either sides.
Ones to look out for:
Justin Carney vs Joe Burgess: The two most-talked about wingers so far this season. Super League's third leading try scorer, Justin Carney, also made it into my top 5 wingers of 2014 Super League Season article and he hasn't failed to impress. He looks even strong, bigger and faster this year and is causing to be a real problem for defences, with 19 tackle busts already to his name this season. On the other hand, youngster Joe Burgess is currently one of the most-talked about wingers and is looking to be a very talented winger. He also has A LOT of pace, scoring a 80m try against Wakefield last weekend. He looks very impressive, but if he's on the same wing as Carney, will he be able to handle his strength? Only time will tell...
Liam Finn vs Matty Smith: Ireland international Liam Finn will be wanting to carry on his strong performances for the Castleford Tigers and will be looking to play his best game of the season so far. He will also be looking to add to his tally of 5 Try Assists and will be looking to score his first try for the Castleford Tigers. Matty Smith has really stepped up at Wigan and is arguably currently playing his best Rugby ever. He has 3 Try Assists to his name already this season in two games and will be looking to get Wigan an important win in tomorrow's clash. I also think Smith will be included in England's next international IF he manages to keep his performances up.
Andy Lynch vs Scott Taylor: Two BIG men who play strong rugby. Andy Lynch has already made 59 carries for the Tigers and 419 metres in 3 games, showing how much of a hard-working player he is. Scott Taylor is currently Wigan's top tackle buster this year. He is a big, strong and a powerful forward that any team could rely on for making metres up the middle. I can imagine there is going to be a few big hits between these two players tomorrow.
Castleford fans will be happy to hear the news that Nathan Massey is back in the squad.
It's going to be a great match for the crowd. Prediction: Castleford Tigers 16-24 Wigan Warriors
I hope the fans turn up for tomorrow's clash and I reckon the atmosphere will be electrifying!
