Today, Queensland and New South Wales announced their teams for Game I of the State of Origin Clash, which takes place next Wednesday at the ANZ Stadium.
For Queensland, Josh McGuire makes his debut in the squad and will debut from the interchange bench. Darius Boyd also makes the side, despite only appearing twice for the Brisbane Broncos so far this season due to injury. North Queensland Cowboys five-eighth Michael Morgan has also joined the side, with Daly Cherry Evans sitting out of the side's first training session due to a shoulder injury which may see him miss game one.
While all this took place, Maroons Head Coach Mal Meninga extended his deal as coach for a further three-years, retaining him at the top until the end of 2018.
For New South Wales, Laurie Daley [Head Coach] named Josh Dugan at fullback, with Jarryd Hayne leaving the NRL at the end of the 2014 season. Mitchell Pearce and Trent Hodkinson make the half-back partnership, with Bulldogs Forward David Klemmer also making his debut within the squad.
