The Gold Coast Titans have sacked player Paul Carter with immediate effect.
This decision came about after Paul Cartner was fined again for drink-driving for the second time.
The 22-year old forward was also fined $2,600 by the police and had his licence disqualified for three-and-a-half years.
“The board has no desire to make Paul’s personal predicament worse than it already is but his personal welfare has to be balanced against the overall best interests of the club and the game,” the club said in a statement.
